You can open a Shopify account in minutes. What happens next is the harder part: who will build your store, configure payments and delivery, connect your sales channels and test that orders work properly?
That is the work we take on at Store10. We build and maintain your eShop, with a Greek-speaking team and phone support included in the base subscription. You choose the extra integrations you need and see their prices before moving forward. If you sell in Greece and do not want to become your store's technical project manager, this is the difference that matters.
Explore the subscription and configure your eShop.
The key difference: Store10 builds the store for you
Shopify Basic is a capable eCommerce platform. It includes hosting, SSL, management tools, ready-made themes and unlimited products. You can build the store yourself, and if you have the time and experience, that is a real option. The subscription does not, however, include a specialist who will manage your particular setup from the first decision to the first order. If you want that work done for you, you need a separate agreement with a partner.
With Store10, initial construction and basic configuration are included. We adapt the design to your business, configure the first payment gateway and initial delivery options, provide hosting, SSL, backups and updates, and run a technical check before activation. The base includes up to 300 products, unlimited orders and two business email inboxes. Shopify does not provide email hosting, so comparable inboxes require another provider. You can add your products yourself; entry by our team is a separate service.
The annual Store10 base subscription is €300 plus VAT, equivalent to €25 per month when billed annually. The monthly option is €30 per month plus VAT. Shopify Basic is €228 per year with annual billing, equivalent to €19 per month. The difference between the two base annual subscriptions is €72. For that difference, you are not comparing software alone: Store10 also includes the initial setup work, ongoing technical care and phone support from our team.
Greek marketplaces and couriers, with one team handling setup
If you sell in Greece, connections to Skroutz, BestPrice, Glami, eMAG, couriers and BOX NOW may matter more to your daily operation than your choice of theme. In the Store10 configurator, you select the services you need. Setup and recurring maintenance charges are shown separately, and our team handles the corresponding technical configuration.
The scope is clear. Skroutz XML is a product feed; it does not automatically include full Skroutz Marketplace order management. The courier or BOX NOW option covers one standard connection, not every carrier at once. If your workflow is more complex, we assess it before quoting. That clarity matters when a low headline price might otherwise leave out work you expected to be included.
Can Shopify connect to these services? Yes. Examples include XML feed apps, Shopify-to-eMAG integration through easySales, a BOX NOW app and an ACS voucher app. We are not claiming that Shopify lacks Greek integrations. The Store10 advantage is that one team sets up, understands and supports your chosen combination, so you do not have to coordinate the apps and their providers yourself.
Payments: include transaction charges in the comparison
Store10 includes one standard payment gateway, with an additional gateway available as an option. If you use a particular Greek bank gateway, tell us so we can review its requirements and arrange the connection. Store10 charges 0% of your sales as its own commission. Bank and payment-provider fees still apply. See the payment options.
Shopify offers Shopify Payments in Greece as well as third-party providers. On Basic, when a transaction is processed by a third-party provider instead of Shopify Payments, Shopify lists an additional 2% third-party transaction fee, on top of the provider's fee. On €10,000 in transactions processed that way, that is an extra €200 paid to Shopify. If you use Shopify Payments, this particular third-party fee does not apply. It is not a charge for every Shopify store; it matters when you choose an external gateway. Manual payment methods, such as bank transfer and cash on delivery, are treated differently.
If you plan to combine providers, also check how payment methods appear and are routed. Shopify allows Shopify Payments alongside one direct third-party provider, under specific routing rules. Having two providers does not mean two independent Greek bank gateways will work exactly as they do on every other platform.
Phone support from the team that built your store
An eShop needs help after launch, too: a feed specification changes, a shipment does not update or a payment needs investigation. The Store10 base subscription includes phone and email support from Firstidea's Greek-speaking team. Optional priority support is for faster handling of requests; it is not required to contact us by phone. You speak to people who know your store and maintain it.
Shopify provides 24/7 support chat, which is useful. Basic does not include general Shopify phone support, while third-party apps are supported by their developers. If you already have your own technical partner, that may suit you. If you prefer one Greek-speaking team to coordinate your store's technical issues, Store10 offers a different kind of value.
A concrete example: what does the store cost with its integrations?
Consider the configuration we reviewed in the public Store10 configurator: annual billing, up to 1,500 products, Skroutz, BestPrice and Glami feeds, eMAG, Google Merchant Center, a Meta/Instagram catalogue, Meta and TikTok Pixels, Google Ads conversions, newsletter, live chat, one courier or BOX NOW connection, and one additional payment gateway. Initial product entry is not included.
The configurator showed €675 in one-time setup charges and €650 per year for the subscription and selected recurring services: €1,325 in year one and €650 in each following year, plus VAT and external charges. This is the price of that specific configuration, not a promise that every eShop will cost the same.
To compare the same list of needs with Shopify Basic, we assembled an illustrative set of tools. It is not an identical technical implementation or an official Shopify quote:
| Illustrative Shopify cost | Per year |
|---|---|
| Shopify Basic, annual billing | €228 |
| easySales Starter for eMAG, up to 300 orders per month | €420 |
| FeedFix Export Plus for up to five feeds | about €70 |
| Rewind Backups, up to 300 orders per month | about €201 |
| Two email inboxes through Zoho Mail Lite | about €21 |
| Illustrative recurring total | about €940 |
For Google, Meta, TikTok, newsletter and BOX NOW, the example uses options without an additional app subscription. That does not make setup work, advertising or external provider services free. Dollar-denominated app prices were converted approximately using the ECB reference exchange rate of 25 September 2026. If you need ACS instead of BOX NOW, the specific ACS voucher app in this example adds $10 per month. Prices and usage limits can change.
| How the above configuration is delivered | Year one | Following year |
|---|---|---|
| Store10: we build and support it | €1,325 | €650 |
| Shopify: you build and maintain it yourself | about €940 | about €940 |
| Shopify: you hire a partner for the initial setup | about €3,440–€5,940 | about €940, plus any ongoing support |
The last row uses an illustrative €2,500–€5,000 project budget for a partner. It is neither a published Shopify price nor a binding partner quote; the actual fee depends on the work agreed. Doing everything yourself has a lower cash cost in year one, but your time is not priced in. Over three years, if these prices stay unchanged and transaction fees are excluded, the example totals about €2,625 for Store10 versus €2,820 for self-managed Shopify. Hiring a partner increases the initial cost according to their quote.
The figures exclude VAT where applicable, domain registration, advertising, shipping, marketplace commissions, payment-provider fees and usage above app limits. This comparison applies to the stated configuration and is not a substitute for a tailored quote.
Who should choose Store10?
If you want to sell in Greece with a store that one team will build and maintain, Store10 gives you a more complete service than a software subscription alone. You choose the integrations, see their prices and get phone and email support from Firstidea. You can focus on products, sales and customers instead of managing the technical project yourself.
Shopify is a strong choice if you want to build and evolve the eShop yourself, need its broad international app ecosystem, want unlimited products on Basic or already have a partner to handle integrations and support. We are not saying it cannot connect to Skroutz, BOX NOW or eMAG. Our offer is that you do not have to assemble and support those connections on your own.
Want to see the cost for your business? Configure your Store10 subscription and send us your selection. We will review your payment, delivery and sales-channel needs before providing a final quote.
